Murray Joins Cooperative Network Team
ST. PAUL, Minn. (January 15, 2013) – Patrick Murray joined Cooperative Network’s St. Paul office as the new Director of Government and Member Relations. In this position, Murray will manage the day-to-day government relations functions of Cooperative Network’s Minnesota office and provide support in the areas of communications, sector committees, education efforts, technology, and other membership services.
Most recently, Murray was the administrator for the Minnesota Senate Transportation Committee and, through that position, became very knowledgeable about the state’s transportation policies. Prior to that, Murray was a legislative assistant at Messerli & Kramer, P.A., where he worked closely with the Minnesota Farm Credit associations. Prior to Messerli & Kramer, Murray worked for a member of the Minnesota Senate and for two members of the Wisconsin State Assembly.
“Patrick brings extensive government affairs experience to Cooperative Network from both the public and private sectors,” said Bill Oemichen, president and CEO of Cooperative Network. “He has a strong positive reputation at the Minnesota State Capitol for being bright, bipartisan and hardworking and has established close working relationships with legislators, lobbyists and members of the Minnesota business community that will be extremely beneficial to current and prospective members of Cooperative Network.” |
